Lot 101. 1880 Liberty Seated Half Dollar PCGS CAC PR64 Ex. Benson

Many Benson proof coins unfortunately were hazy or marked up. Not this one! Glittering champagne and Octoberfest centers are encircled by navy blue, magenta, and royal purple peripheries on the obverse, with the largely untoned reverse displaying delicate cameo contrast. This is an exceedingly beautiful coin of a technically high standard.
